Welcome to the first ever Indie Romance convention. This convention is open to all readers, authors, bloggers, editors, cover artist etc. Since 2013 will be our first trial year we are going to be on a smaller scale. You see Indie authors are different in so many ways, just as their readers are, so the first year is will focus on getting a feel of what everyone’s needs and wishes are for both Indie authors and readers.

Indie authors are completely different from published authors because they have to do everything themselves. Therefore, they need a different type of convention to fit their needs and we’re going to do our best to help them. In order to help foster this the convention will hold classes, workshops and panels, not only for readers, but also for the Indie authors also. Most of these authors don’t want publishers in their face and I don’t blame them, they choose to Indie publish and they need additional insights and resources.  As an indie reader you need to learn about the difference between indie published and published authors and I will be delivering that to you throughout the coming years.

My hopes for this convention is to help everyone grow in the reading and writing industry, not just for the readers and authors, but for everyone that works with the Indie authors. So, you’ll find classes, panels and workshops for authors and readers in 2013, however in 2014 we will be expanding and including classes etc. for editors and others.
